The Professional Eccentrics (tpe) are a band from glorious Plymouth in the South West of the UK.  Although playing a few covers, our aim is to eventually have a full set of original material.

With a mix of electric and acoustic guitars, the sound is rounded off with fretless bass, vocal harmonies, and tied together with some great drum patterns.

Formed by vocalist Jim and guitarist Brian, they were quickly joined by guitarist Tony, a long time friend/bandmate of Brian (The Present, Majikfish). The trio were briefly joined by Marc on bass (also The Present, Majikfish) and rehearsed acoustically learning covers and developing original material, before Marc announced that he was to emigrate. Pete from Jim's other band (Aftershock) came along and it was soon decided, mostly by Brian, to electrify the sound, and the Rickenbacker chime was introduced. The new line up with aid of a couple of drummers who moved on, developed their style and set further. This year, 2009, drummer Gary (Blurred Vision, Delta Dukes, Piledriver, Blue Angel) has joined to finally complete the line up, enabling us to focus on completing the set with some more of our own material. At present, we have a studio visit planned and are booking gigs for 2009/10.
